THE FABRICS:

Our shirts are all made of 100% cotton, so except for the particularly heavy styles, they can be worn all year. We suggest solid, striped or textured fabrics for dress shirt, and heavier weaves and checks for sport shirts.

THE COLLARS:

Classic (straight):
This is an universal basic in any man's wardrobe. It is a collar made to be worn with a tie.
French (or English cutaway)
This broader collar was created by the Duke of Windsor who liked a big, triangular knot on his tie. This collar, expecially the two-button version, can also be worn without a tie.
Button down (or Polo collar)
This collar has buttons at the points. English polo players have been wearing them since the end of the nineteenth century to keep the points from flapping while they played. This collar is ideal for sportier shirts.

POCKETS:

Elegant, or dress shirts are generally made WITHOUT pockets.

In any case, style is a matter of personal taste, so feel free to choose according to your own preferences.
